Accompanied Grandma, together with the family, to Gleneagles for a checkup.
No breakfast + Day 1 of Period = Horrigible Cramps. It was so bad i could hardly bring myself to conversize, laugh or even smile.
Thunderstormed today. Fantastic weather, for sleeping, snoozing and snuggling. How awesome if everyday the weather feels like that of a refrigerator.
Lunch'ed at Amoy. We had Lor Mee (No Queue!) and Mixed Beef Soup. For desserts, we each had a small serving of Or Nee (Yam Paste). You can choose between their original, or have it served with ginko nuts and pumpkin. Both were equally fantastic. This is coming from a non-yam lover like me. (I cried when mom bought me a Yam flavoured b-day cake, but that happened when i was barely 5 years old, hahah)
Also had lots of Ondeh Ondeh (durian, yam and original), and hot drinks (Teh Tarik and Teh Halia) from Rafee's Corner. You should see how he tariks his tea. BTW, all sweet treats mentioned above were purchased from SgKueh. They sell a variety of kuehs but specialize largely in their ondeh ondehs (original's the bestest!) and Yam Paste. Its been a long time since dar and me had lunch at Amoy. Looks like its time to head back there for lunch this coming week! Heh.
For dinner, Family organized yet another Sandwich Party. This time, we made use of SPAM's Luncheon Meat, Apple Baked and Smoked Ham, Pork Floss, Four Fruits Jam, and EMMANTEL CHEESE. We made a huge pot of Campbell's Cream of Chicken too.
In fact, if you've seen/read my previous entries, you would have noticed that i've been feeding on sandwiches for the past 2-3 days. I can assure you that home-made sandwiches are a thousand miles better than McDonald's Big Mac, Burger King's Whopper and Carl's Jr's SuperStar. Real Porky Fatty Bacon makes a helluva difference.
Oh, we dvd'ed at GM's place too. Caught The Mist, adapted from one of Stephen King's novels. We didnt like the movie one bit. The story line was weak and ridiculous. Thank God i didnt waste $8 watching a "white screen" (mist).
The family got to sample my tiramisu as well. Lucky bunch of people. Haha. All of them were extremely impressed, even bro was left wondering how i could produce sucha flavour. LOL. Will be baking a much bigger one for dad on Father's Day.
And Yes dear, i remember, less liquer more espresso. Haha. I still love you ma. =D
