Way Overdued. So please bear with me.
Breakfast at the hotel lobby once again. I made breakfast toasts for everyone! It has bacon, ham, egg, and lettuce sandwich between 2 slices of bread. Sounds like YUM but after having this 2 days in a row, it might not sound so YUMMY afterall.
Some random shots, inside and outside the hotel.
Along some street, shops were still closed as the morning was still young. Quite young.
Headed for a Shoulder + Foot massage at some massage parlour located somewhere in the vicinity.
OMGawd it was HELL. I felt so tortured, bruised, whatever you call it. I think i've developed a phobia for massgaes. Thai ones especially!
Walked over to SiamParagon, yes, AGAIN!, for lunch. We had Jap today.
There's the Sashimi Platter, Unagi, Softshell Crabs, Katsu, Tempuras, Bacon Wrapped Asparagus and some other dish which i cant recall its name.
Not too bad. The bacon was way too FATTY for our liking. In fact, we dint even dare touch it! Service wasnt very good but that's okie, at least the prices here are within the reasonable and affordable range.
We shared gelato (Oreo and Macademia) and chilled over some beverages at a cafe. The family sampled their cold coffee samples and were intrigued by it.
Have i ever mentioned how many food stalls Siam Paragon actually has? Its more than 2 dozens in one basement alone! A majority of them sell cakes and pastries, gelato and japanese cuisines. Which kinda explains why the family kept making repeated visits to this place. Singaporeans love their food dont they? he heh.
Hailed for a cab and headed to our next destination, MBK Shopping Mall. Bought lotsa DKNY (Di Ku Nei Yi) and i cant rmb what else. Oh i met Eloera and her BF Yin Theng! How small is this WORLD?
Anyway, MBK's simply a Lucky Plaza duplicate. Except it houses more stalls and has a larger crowd. Got some mini donuts from Dunkin' Donuts to try too! They're everywhere in BangKok. However, Donut Factory's way better.
Dinner was at this restaurant called Som Boon. Its a well known eatery, almost like a household name. How Som Boon is to the Thai's is how Crystal Jade is to us.
We ordered their crabs, veggies, prawn cakes, fish and glass noodles.
Their veggies were sucha disappointment. Its lacklustre look kinda sums up everything. The prawn cakes/balls were nothing compared to those from the previous night's, which were obviously, DELISH! The glass noodles were pretty average in my opinion. The stars of the night has got to be crabbie and fishie. I loveee the crab gravy. Those lumpy things you see in the picture? Its actually pieces of egg. Goes very well with plain rice i tell ya.
N that wraps up my third day in BangKok.
Stay tuned for day 4 and final day 5.
