Sorry that you have to read such an over-dued entry but i have to blog about this very SPECIAL day because the date, this day falls on, will nv occur again in a hundred years! I dont have to spell it, or type it out for you to know what THIS special date is but for the sake of those still-clueless souls, it is the date Live Earth was lauched. Still donno? Ha Ha. The day, month, and year happens to represent the number of PERFECTION, COMPLETENESS and COMPLETE REST, in biblical terms.
07 - 07 - 07. Yeah that's a beautiful date alright. Considering that 7 is my fave number! muahahaha.
Actually, i dint really have anything planned out for today. Spent more than half the day staying indoors as dar dar had to go to the bike shop, at Alexandra, with his friend. Dear baby managed to squeeze in some time for me too! (He better else im gonna burn down his bike Ha Ha Ha)
We headed to ChinaTown for dinner. Had Kolo Mee. Its been a long time since i last ate this.
I like the sauce used here. Its acty made from onion oil. EEEW. Onion! But strangely, i kinda like it! Ha Ha. The noodles looked like but tasted far from maggie mee. They were pretty springy too! Biong Biong Biong.
After dinner, dar dar rode to The Esplanade. Found out that NDP'07 preview was today! There were road blocks everywhere and poor dar dar had a hard time trying to find a parking space. Talk about a bike, much worse a car.
Finally, by God's Grace, we found some parking lots still available down at The Esplanade's Basement. Free Parking for Bikes. Yeah!
Walked as fast as my legs could carry me. Had no idea where's the bestest best view for the fireworks, so we settled for an open spot, anyhow. There was a bench there too! Enabling the both of us to relac one corner, shake legs and enjoy the beautiful scenary of the Esplanade Bay.
The flaming balls of fire look alike jellyfishes!
And once again, by God's Grace, He chose, and Led us to one of the bestest best spot for viewing the fireworks display. To me, its definitely the bestest bestest oredi. The display was just right smack in front of us! We had a near perfect view (if not for the small tree by our side) as our spot was allevated. Which means we were higher than those gathered below. Yea! Amen to no-irritaing-heads-blocking my view. There wasnt much of a crowd as well. Hence, dint have to squeeze and leave the place all sweaty.
Check out the pictures! I dint have to zoom at all! That's how close we were. For once, my camera didnt cock up. Evidence from some of the pretty pictures it produced.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PIC LA!
